LUX – OUTREACH CONCERTS

Bold. Dramatic. Visionary. LUX orchestra initiative is an explosion of light, sound and music. LUX presents a new vision for classical music specifically aimed at inspiring young audiences; merging high energy performance, light-shows, projections and amplification in a disruption of traditional performance etiquette to introduce students to the orchestra in a uniquely engaging way.
The LUX Orchestra Initiative and SOPAC will be presenting three outreach concerts reaching over 1,200 SOMSD students – introducing them to classical & symphonic music, drawing comparisons to pop culture and inspiring them as they prepare to enter district-wide music programs themselves.
