L’OISEAU: IMMERSIVE CONCERT INSTALLATION
L’oiseau is an immersive concert installation that explores the interconnection of nature, art, and humanity through sound, movement, and self-reflection. A walking-concert along Artpark’s iconic Gorge Trail explores the works of contemporary composers Sofia Gubaidalina, Iannis Xenakis, Brent Chancellor and Oivlier Messiaen, body movement, and Native American spoken word. Celebrating nature and the journey of cultural transformation through the symbolism of birds and habitat, the performance culminates with Mantra Percussion performing Michael Gordon’s Timber for six 2×4’s.
