PROGRAM NOTES
Crane Songs was inspired by a performance of Shirish Korde’s Tenderness of Cranes at the Festival of New American Music in 2006. The resulting work is a microcosm of solo flute pieces inspired by that performance. Wisping and fleeting, this work draws the listener in to mysterious and elegant scenes of a crane.
